Appreciating Movies

Hitting the streets with a quest for a taste of the arts and entertainment can literally lead you down a cinema house. Many offer classic movies on a Friday night with the likes of silent movies, fright night themes or even on foreign film. The beauty of movies has held and captured audiences young and old alike. Portrayal of life in the huge screen comes with the smell of freshly popped popcorn and the thrill that sounds and special effects that can provide a realistic setting or a fantastic back drop depending on the genre.

Most often the existing films are brought about by current issues of the world today. Essentially the romance in love stories, height of drama, the lightness of comedy, or the chill that comes with watching a horror movie can positively impact one’s perspective and offer an unlimited array of thoughts and emotions. Analytical movies touch base on the human psyche and evolve in mysteries and suspense. Action films are quite a different category along with sci-fi flicks and fantasy. These provide the ultimate sense of adventure and a hint of escapism.

Documentaries often highlight an important event, person or group belonging to a specific era. Movies rate at best on the cinematic appeal to the moviegoers as well as the matching values and story line that these evoke. At best movies can be taken from a screen play, novel or short story. Films have spanned from generation to generation leaving behind great acting figures and characters that hold a special place in our memories who we hold most dear in our hearts and minds.

The great thing about movies is it attracts both the real world to its own conclusions and holds up to ones ideals in place. Arriving at opinions and the links of people to society attest to the beauty of cinema.
